The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has conducted the preliminary examination for the recruitment of Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) posts on 17 December 2023. The exam was held in a single shift from 11:00 am to 01:00 pm at various centers across the state. A total of 137 vacancies are available for these posts in the Uttarakhand Secretariat and the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission.
The candidates who appeared for the UKPSC RO/ARO prelims exam 2023 can check their results, cutoff marks and scorecard on the official website of UKPSC – www.psc.uk.gov.in. The UKPSC has released the pre result notification on 29 February 2024, declaring the list of qualified candidates for the mains exam. The candidates can also download their admit cards for the mains exam from the same website.
The UKPSC RO/ARO mains exam 2023 will consist of two papers: General Studies and Hindi. The General Studies paper will have 200 marks and 150 questions, while the Hindi paper will have 100 marks and 100 questions. The duration of each paper will be three hours. The candidates will also have to appear for a typing test in Hindi on a computer, which will be qualifying in nature3.
The UKPSC RO/ARO selection process 2023 will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the prelims and mains exams. The final merit list will be prepared after the verification of the documents and the typing test. The candidates who will clear the final selection will be appointed as RO/ARO in the respective departments.
