The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released a short notification for the post of Section Officer Horticulture (SOH) under the Department of Horticulture, Government of NCT of Delhi.
The online application process will start from 9th January 2024 and will end on 7th February 2024. Candidates can apply through the official website of DSSSB.
The pay scale for the post of SOH is Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4200 (pre-revised) as per the 6th pay commission.
The selection process for the post of SOH consists of two tiers of objective-type examinations: Tier 1 and Tier 2. The Tier 1 exam is for screening purposes only, and the Tier 2 exam is for final selection.
The syllabus for the Tier 1 exam covers General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, Hindi Language and Comprehension, English Language and Comprehension, and Subject/Qualification related Paper. The syllabus for the Tier 2 exam covers Subject/Qualification related Paper and English Language and Comprehension.
The candidates must have a degree in Agriculture or Degree in Science with Botany as a subject from a recognized university/institution. They must also have 2 years of experience in the field of ornamental horticulture, landscaping, and gardening.
