The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has invited online applications from eligible and interested male and female Indian citizens for the recruitment of Navik (General Duty) posts. The online application process will start from 13th February 2024 and will end on 03-03-2024 (Extended).

The candidates who want to join the ICG as Navik (GD) can apply online through the official website of ICG. The ICG will conduct a computer-based test (CBT) in April 2024 to select the candidates for the Navik (GD) posts. The admit card for the CBT will be available soon on the ICG website.

ICG Navik GD Selection Process

Stage 1 – Online Exam

  • Computer-based test (CBT) in April 2024
  • Objective questions on Math, Science, English, Reasoning & GK
  • Qualifying marks: 30% in each section; 40% aggregate

Stage 2 – Physical Test

  • 1.6 km run in 7 mins
  • 20 squat-ups
  • 10 push-ups
  • No breaks

Stage 3 – Document Verification

  • Verify original documents & certificates
  • Medical exam as per ICG standards
  • Issue fitness certificate
  • Final Selection
  • Based on CBT marks, physical fitness and medical fitness
